Discover the Power of Parks!
(Concord, NH) While visiting New Hampshire State Parks this summer, Discover the Power of Parks! Discover the Power of Parks is focused on participants connecting with nature and building appreciation for New Hampshire's unmatched natural heritage. Programs include guided hikes, interpretive tours, and imaginative environmental workshops for children and families.
Programs will be taking place throughout the summer, starting July 2nd, at six parks including Bear Brook State Park, Pawtuckaway State Park, Greenfield State Park, Monadnock State Park, White Lake State Park and Franconia Notch State Park. Programs are offered for free to guests with paid park admission. The program topics will be changing on a weekly basis with all updated information found at www.discoverpowerofparks.com <http://www.discoverpowerofparks.com/> .
Discover the Power of Parks is presented by New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the Student Conservation Association. The Discover the Power of Parks program is made possible by generous financial support from Public Service of New Hampshire and the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
The Division of Parks and Recreation is comprised of the Bureau of Park Operations, Bureau of Historic Sites, Bureau of Trails, and Cannon Mountain. The Division manages 92 properties, including state parks, beaches, campgrounds, historic sites, trails, waysides, and natural areas.
