Fish and Game is strongly encouraging ice anglers not to wait for the April 1 deadline to remove bobhouses from the ice, and to use extreme caution as they do so. "Keep a close eye on ice conditions and get bobhouses off the ice as soon as you can, safely," said Garabedian.

The CareGivers, Inc. is an all volunteer organization that helps the frail, elderly and disabled to maintain their independence and dignity. T-BONES Great American Eatery and Cactus Jack’s Great West Grill over the last 5 years have spearheaded the effort to assist The CareGivers in a fundraising event.

One of the most exciting forms of motorized entertainment will be featured as New Hampshire Motor Speedway kicks-off its 20th anniversary season with the ultimate "Nor'easter," the inaugural Sno Bowl presented by ski-doo|BRP on Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

Most recently the mountain’s rental & tune shop has begun to use a universal wax offered by New England based Green Wax exclusively for its fleet of rental skis & snowboards and general universal wax needs for all tuning services.

Skiers and snowboarders have been dreaming about it for years: having the true backcountry skiing experience on an eastern mountain. A place where the powder is ungroomed, partially overgrown trails snake through glades, and snowsports enthusiasts can discover the unvarnished truth about just how good they really are. Now they can stop dreaming: Mittersill at Cannon Mountain is now open with 86 acres of lift-assisted backcountry skiing on terrain that received nearly three feet of new snow over the New Year’s holiday weekend.

Cobble Mountain Stables will be opening for sleigh rides at Gunstock Mountain Resort this winter on Friday December 18th. Tues thru Fri-4pm til 9pm; Saturday 12pm til 9pm; Sunday 12pm til 5pm; (closed Mondays except during holiday weeks).
