Accomplished chef Janel Martin teaches how to prepare local foods using the French traditions with the addition of modern American flair. Guests will learn to master the concepts of fine cuisine in a stress free and fun environment.
Master the difference between such techniques as braising, broiling and grilling, and even find out which way is the best for cooking different cuts of meat. Chef Janel covers all the bases in these NH cooking lessons, and teaches how to put together all the elements of a fine, gourmet meal, from salad dressing and sauces, to succulent vegetables, to the homemade breads that accompany the cuisine. And what would French cuisine be without rich cheeses and wine pairings? Rest assured - they'll be covered in the NH culinary retreat, as well.
Each weekend package will include 3 nights lodging in uniquely decorated rooms, gourmet breakfast, 4 two hour classes of hands-on learning, each with a meal to follow, and loads of recipes to take home and impress your family and friends. Cost is $495ppdo.
