CHOOSE PINK TO HELP FIND A CURE FOR BREAST CANCER
Tanger’s 13th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
Supports LRGHealthcare Women’s Imaging Center

Tilton, NH, September 13, 2006…Shoppers visiting the Tanger Outlet Center in Tilton always have plenty of brand name choices. This fall, they can also choose to make a big difference in their community and help in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer. Tanger’s 13th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign is taking place September 15-October 31, 2006. Funds raised during this year’s campaign will benefit LRGHealthcare Women’s Imaging Center.

This fall, Tanger shoppers can save even more money and help save lives in their community each time they purchase the all new Pink and Choose Discount Card. For a $2 donation, shoppers will receive a special discount card that will give them three bonus discount offers of 10%, 15% & 20% OFF at participating Tanger stores nationwide. The Pink and Choose Cards will be available at the Tanger Customer Service Center/Management Office September 15-October 31, 2006.

“It is important to our organization that we continue to help and support the funding of research needed to discover a cure to stop this terrible disease that affects so many of our friends ands loved ones, “ stated Stanley K. Tanger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. “Our hopes are that our efforts are not only helping to save lives but also giving hope to thousands that are afflicted with breast cancer,” Mr. Tanger added.

Tanger shoppers can also help to fight breast cancer each time they purchase a Tanger Gift Card. Tanger will donate 10% of the value of each gift card purchased September 15-October 31, 2006, to LRGHealthcare Women’s Imaging Center.

And, in honor of Tanger’s 25th Anniversary in 2006, Tanger will increase the contribution October 2nd - 9th by donating 25% of each Tanger Gift Card purchased. Tanger Gift Cards are redeemable at all Tanger Outlet Center stores coast to coast.

The Tanger Outlet Center in Tilton will also hold other breast cancer-related fund-raising activities during September and October. YANKEE invites residents of NH and New England to take advantage of a special offer: For every subscription to the magazine purchased online at www.YankeeMagazine.com/tanger, YANKEE will donate $8 to Tanger’s fundraising campaign for the LRGHealthcare Women’s Imaging Center. In addition, Uno Chicago Grill in Tilton will donate 20% of customer checks on September 21 when presented with LRGHealthcare Women’s Imaging Center beneficiary certificate, which can be picked up at the Tanger Customer Service/Management Office.

Also, LRGHealthcare and the Tanger Outlet Center will host a Pampering for a Purpose event on October 7 from 10am-2pm to bring awareness to the community about breast cancer and breast health. Shoppers and members of the community can take part in educational displays focused on women’s health, talk to health professionals, and relax with a free pampering service such as chair massage, makeup consultation, paraffin dips, and more. Enjoy live music and pink fashion displays provided by Tanger Outlet Center merchants. A free giveaway will be available to all while supplies last.

Since 1994, Tanger Outlet Centers across the country have now contributed in excess of $4 million for breast cancer research, for educational programs and tools that create awareness for the importance of early detection and for other special projects and programs that improve the quality of life for those with breast cancer and their families. All money raised locally by Tanger during the 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign will be donated from the Stanley K. Tanger Breast Cancer Fund.

This year, more than 211,000 new cases of breast cancer are expected in the United States. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women between the ages of 40-55. Approximately 1,600 men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year and 400 are predicted to die according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation
