Carbon Counts: Understanding Your Carbon Footprints
March 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join the Squam Lakes Association for a chance to learn about your carbon footprint and the carbon cycle! After carbon dioxide has been released into the atmosphere from natural and anthropogenic sources, it can be removed through a process known as carbon sequestration.
This adventure ecology program will provide participants with an understanding of the carbon cycle, a chance to measure and calculate how much carbon is stored in a tree, and how many trees it would take to offset their carbon footprint
Audience: Recommended for ages 12+ and children must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing as we will be outside for a portion of the time to measure trees. Water and snacks if you think necessary.
Registration: Registration is required. Space is limited to 12 people. Click here to register for this program.
