Fall Foliage Special

- Fall Foliage Specials – Departing from Meredith at 11am : September 28 & 29 and October 4, 5 & 6; 11, 12, 13, 14 & 19, 20
This special round trip train excursion departs from Meredith at 154 Main St. Meredith, NH 03253 and heads north towards the White Mountains at 11:00 AM for an approximately four hour duration. This route is only traveled during fall foliage season, so sit back and in our comfy coaches and enjoy the fall scenery. You will pass Lake Waukewan and Lake Winona, follow along and over the Pemigewasset River from Ashland to Plymouth with station stops along the way. On the return trip, be sure to have your camera ready as we’ll make a brief stop at the restored Ashland Train Station where you’ll be greeted by Station Attendants dressed in period attire Estimated time of return is 3:00 to 3:30 PM. In Coach Class You will be riding in two former RDC cars built by the Budd Company in the 1950’s and used by the Boston and Maine RR into the 1980’s in active service to Plymouth until 1965. Windows in these two cars have been converted to slide open along with vestibule open windows for photography.
