Gardens of the Civil War: What Were Tamworth Families Growing?

July 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Tamworth History Center and Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm will present “Gardens of the Civil War: What Tamworth Families Were Growing in the 1860s.”

Meet under the backyard tent at Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm for a short discussion on horticulture, herbal medicines and food crops of the 1860s, led by Museum Educator/Herbalist Carol Felice. Then, walk to the nearby museum gardens for a visit to the new Victorian Garden.

Afterward, repair to the History Center (adjacent to the museum) for refreshments and a look at their current exhibit: Tamworth Families in the Civil War.

Reservations are not required. This event will take place rain or shine. Dress for the evening’s weather and wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for varied terrain.
