NEW! Our FIRST official activity of 2024 is… a guided Snowshoe Hike! (Hoping for snow, a Winter Walk, otherwise.)
Saturday, January 20, 2024 and Saturday, February 10, 2024
Remick program manager and interpretive guide Jim Cruickshank will introduce you to our natural landscape.
During this guided snowshoe hike around the Binsack Trail and farm gounds, participants will be encouraged to keep their senses about them for winter wildlife sightings. Discussions of the changing farm and other relevant themes will occur as well. The hike will take place whether snow is present or not. Participants are required to bring their own snowshoes (and trekking poles, if available) when snow is present. Duration: 45-60 minutes.
This activity is subject to cancellation due to severe weather or poor ground conditions. Cancellation will occur a day or two before the event date and be announced on this webpage and social media. Please call ahead if you are concerned that cancellation might be a last-minute possibility.
COST: Free. Donations welcome.
All ages (ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult).
Preregistration is not required: check in at the front desk 15 minutes before the start time.
