A New Hampshire tradition, coupled with a celebration of timeless wintertime fun! SEVERE weather date: Sunday, February 5, 2017 This is Our MOST POPULAR annual event!
To give you a taste of things to come, here are details from this event in 2016: Celebrating with these FUN ACTIVITIES for all ages:
Celebrate winter with outdoor/indoor activities and history-based demonstrations. Visit farm animals in their winter coats and surroundings. Take a tractor-pulled wagon ride on Doc Remick’s harness racing practice track. If conditions are not favorable, route will be altered . Get a rare look at antique Model T Ford Snowmobiles. Rides are weather dependent. Participate in a Tree ID walk and carnival games. Listen to live music in the Hearth Room—dancing is welcome! Meet and watch the Yankee Teamsters 4-H Working Steer Club of NH. Try your hand at a winter-themed craft or go on a scavenger hunt. Take a self-guided tour of the Museum Center: Ice Harvesting video; Remick Family history; Walk through the modest apartment Doc Remick shared with his wife Marion Miles Remick; Victorian Kitchen Exhibit—with popcorn popping on the Glenwood Wood Stove; Medicine Through Time Exhibit (exhibit in progress, opening this spring). Warm up with Farmhouse Kitchen favorites.

No registration required. *If ice is not safe, visitors will not be allowed on the ice. No matter the conditions, ice harvesting demonstrations (on ice, if safe for demonstrators) will occur.
