Hermit Woods Winery & Katie Dobbins Music celebrate their 2nd anniversary of Songwriter RoundUp, a monthly music series where audience members can enjoy talented singer-songwriters from the New England Area in the Lakes Region’s premier listening room. Enjoy songs and stories from host Katie Dobbins and guest artists Troy Millette & Cat Wolf as they perform acoustically in-the-round. New songwriters are featured on the last Wednesday of every month in this intimate series!

Katie Dobbins

Award winning singer-songwriter and light warrior Katie Dobbins seeks to share honest music that captivates listeners and brings light to the darkness. With a mastery of storytelling and the heart of a poet, this soulful songstress captures elements of life and relationships in ways that lift the spirit and challenge the soul. Her album There Is Light, produced by multi-award-winning producer Sean McLaughlin of 37′ Productions, was awarded Album of the Year at the 2021 Limelight Music Awards. Her single There’s a Light, mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Jeff Lipton, was featured on Spotify’s Editorial playlist. Her music has been featured on prominent radio stations like The River and “Boston’s Hottest Country,” with host Carolyn Kruse raving “Sweet but bold, Katie’s voice is reminiscent of one of her heroes, Jewel, but only deeper… A fearless spirit with a gentle touch.” Dobbins’ latest single Grateful is an ethereal ballad reflecting awe and wonder that permeate the mind. The track was mixed and mastered by Emmy-nominated producer Brian Coombes of Rocking Horse Studio (NH).

Troy Millette

Vermont’s TROY MILLETTE & THE FIRE BELOW are equal parts thoughtful and lively– a cocktail of rock, pop, folk, and americana music that grapples with love, loss, and the human experience.

Millette’s emotive and relatable lyrics, as well as his energetic, banter-filled live performances have made him a staple of dives, clubs, theaters, and festivals across the northeast United States and Quebec. His work as a frontman and solo performer garnered the title of Vermont’s “Best Folk Group” from Seven Days Magazine in 2022 and 2023 (some guy named Noah Kahan beat them in 2024. No big deal).

In addition to hundreds of headlining shows, appearances at renowned music festivals such as SXSW, Grace Potter’s Grand Point North, Waking Windows, and Twiddle’s Tumble Down, and a campaign run with Senator Bernie Sanders, Troy Millette and the Fire Below have shared bills with the likes of Counting Crows, Grace Potter, Guster, Bowling for Soup, Matt Quinn (of MT. Cat Wolf

Cat Wolf is a heart-warming singer-songwriter and guitarist planting seeds of wonder in the nurturing soil of her wholesome lyrics and spirited voice. A rock ‘n roller of the band CATWOLF, she congregates a communal and folk atmosphere in her solo performances. Soothing and expansive, dancing and playful, she is a welcome source to greet the intimate nature of our existence in peace and prose.
