New England Vintage Boat Auction July 13 – General Public Viewing July 11 & 12 – The Nick, Wolfeboro NH

July 13 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

On Saturday, July 13, hundreds of people are expected to attend the New England Vintage Boat Auction both online and in person. Hosted by the New Hampshire Boat Museum (NHBM), the annual auction will feature fiberglass boats, sailboats, kayaks, canoes, memorabilia, cars, and more.

“With hundreds of people online and people coming from all over New England to attend in person, the auction is exciting and very competitive,” said Betsy Farley, who co-chairs the event.

Noting the event has “something for everyone,” Farley said some of the more remarkable items include a Barn Find boat, more than 100 years old, used for duck hunting. “We also have a hovercraft—a really fun boat that can be used on water or ice,” she said.

Featured items include a “pristine” 2011 Hacker-Craft, “impeccable” 1938 Chris-Craft Utility, “retro” 1971 Sea Ray FiberGlassic, and a classic 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible.

In addition to raising significant funds to support NHBM’s operations, Executive Director Martha Cummings said the event is “mission-aligned.” “One aspect of our mission is to try to keep as many boats on the water as possible and not in landfills,” she said. “The auction helps us meet this part of our mission in helping promote and refurbish the use of vintage and classic boats…Auction bidders are stewards.”

Boats and cars at this year’s New England Vintage Boat Auction will be displayed online and at the Nicholas J. Pernokas Recreation Park (The Nick) in Wolfeboro for the general public to view on Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12 from noon to 5:00 p.m. Live bidding begins on Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m.

Bidder registration is free. Online bidding begins on Friday, July 5. To learn more about the auction or register as an online bidder, visit nhbm.org.
