Remick Ramblers – Compasses & Orienteering
March 26, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Compasses and Orienteering – Remick Ramblers Nature Exploration.
A compass is still a great tool for the forest rambler. Participants will learn a little about how compasses work before doing some backyard training with games and skill building. When everyone feels comfortable with the process, we will set out on a group hike around the farm, using are compasses to lead us the correct way! The Remick Ramblers are a new, nature-based exploration group designed for children available during traditional school hours.
These nature walks are held once a month, from September – June and are designed to engage conversation and encourage experiential learning through a variety of hands-on activities. $6/participant, ages 6 and over. Chaperones are free unless staying at the museum post-lesson. This is not a drop-off program, so parents and guardians should be prepared to be with the group, and are encouraged to participate!
Registration closes March 24/when filled; no walk-ins, please. Space is limited, so register now by calling 603-323-7591.
