This Week’s Program:
You’ll often hear us talk about lakes, but let’s change it up; time to talk about ponds. Small ponds are incredibly active and full of life, and they are more common than you may expect. Everything from moose to fish, and everything in between, use these ponds for surviving. However, they also serve key roles in storm control, biodiversity, and nutrient cycling, as well as landscape shaping. Join LRCC member Jack on October 16th to learn about the exciting diversity found within our smaller ponds. Take an easy, mile hike into Belknap Woods for an evening of watching, listening, and learning!
