This Week’s Program:
Join the SLA for an after work hike! Participants will meet at the Old Bridle Path trailhead 6:00 pm. From there we will hike Old Bridle to the summit of West Rattlesnake, lighting the way with lanterns and headlamps. Upon reaching the summit, we will take a short break and admire the view before hiking back down. The distance hiked will be roughly 1.8 miles. This opportunity is perfect for those who want to get out and explore the trails after work or those who want a unique perspective of one of our most popular trails! Participants should bring lanterns / headlamps, micro spikes or snowshoes, and to dress in layers.
What to Bring: Participants should bring headlamps, appropriate clothing, water, food, and snowshoes and/or micro-spikes depending on conditions. The SLA can provide snowshoes for up to six participants. Click here to view a list of SLA recommended gear for winter hiking.
Audience: All ages, particularly those who want to hike after work and don’t mind hiking in the dark.
