Special Seva Yoga & Potluck – Meredith Whole Living Center
December 21, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
This 3rd Friday Seva Yoga falls on Winter Solstice, when the Earth’s northern pole experiences maximum tilt away from the Sun, and we experience the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year. To bring in the light we will practice 108 Sun Salutations, led by various instructors.
The intention for the class will be for the light to return, however incrementally, to all who are experiencing a period of darkness in their lives. Essentially a call for grace. After class there will be a vegetarian potluck meal and time to connect.
It is donation based with money raised going to Navigating Recovery in Laconia. Read more here http://www.navigatingrecovery.org/
Seva” is a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service” or work performed without any thought of reward or repayment. In ancient India, seva was believed to help one’s spiritual growth and at the same time contribute to the improvement of a community.
