What to Bring: Hikers should come prepared with weather-appropriate hiking gear (layers, rain gear, and extra socks/shirts/hats/etc.), headlamps, and plenty of water. Microspikes/snowshoes and trekking poles might be helpful depending on the weather and can be checked out from the Squam Lakes Association gear library if you do not have them. Snacks and hot drinks are welcome too!

Make sure you’re prepared for winter hiking by referencing SLA’s guide on what to wear and checking out SLA ‘s gear library.

Audience: Anyone who is capable of hiking/snowshoeing approximately 3 miles, potentially in snowy and/or icy conditions. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
