The Big Backyard Series Continues at Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, repeating until June 22, 2019
The Forest in Bloom! from 10 am – 11:30am Our gardens are coming to life again and a treasure trove of lesser-known wildflowers are also popping up in the woods. Join us to discover these beautiful wonders of spring!
$8/person ($6 Members; FREE for Upgraded Members!)
Min. 2 participants per party (adult must accompany child). Held rain or shine!

- June 22; 10:00-11:30 – Spring at the Pond: Spring is in full swing and the pond is alive with all kinds of critters! There are the big ones you’d expect – turtles, frogs, ducks – but there is also a whole hidden world of tiny creatures that live in the water. Lets see what we can find!
- July 27; 10:00-11:30 – Pollinators: Summer: Pollinators are amazing! These insects, birds and other critters are essential for plants to produce the bounty of fruits and vegetables that we eat every day! Come learn more abou them and things we can do to help protect them.
- August 17; 10:00-11:30 – Plants to Plates: Summer is in full swing and green plants are everywhere! Join us to sample delicious edibles in the garden as well as wild foods from the forest and field!
- September 21; 10:00-11:30 – Amazing Mushrooms: Mushrooms are super cool! We’ll go on a mushroom hunt and find as many interesting varieties as we can as we learn about their important role in our ecosystem.
