We sojourn to Europe with trumpeter Adam Gallant featured on the technically brilliant and musically expressive Haydn Trumpet Concerto, widely regarded as one of the most significant trumpet works.
Then cross the Atlantic back home to 1930’s-40’s America with Aaron Copland’s iconic Lincoln Portrait, which combines spoken word with an orchestral score, and the groundbreaking Afro-American Symphony by William Grant Still.
