Trees & the Freeze at Squam Lakes Association

Join the SLA for a morning hike through Whitten Woods! This hike will be all about how trees prepare and adapt to the winter climate to make sure they survive the chilly season. We’ll hike out to the North Peak trail loop and point out different types of trees along the way, and note what changes and transformations they have gone through to ready themselves for the cold. We will also get a nice view of Little Squam on the trail, so make sure not to miss it!
Registration is required. Space is limited to 10 people.
