Proceeds from the event will support the Science\nCenter’s educational outreach programs\, which provide vital science learning experiences to students and\nfamilies across New Hampshire.\nSince 1966\, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has been dedicated to advancing understanding of ecology\nby exploring New Hampshire’s natural world. Through live animal exhibits\, nature trails\, guided Squam Lake\ncruises\, and a variety of educational programs\, including the Blue Heron School\, a nature-based Montessori\nearly learning center\, the Science Center connects people of all ages to the wonders of nature. The organization\nis also proud to be Sensory Inclusive Certified by KultureCity\, ensuring accessibility for all visitors.\n“In these challenging times\, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is eager to diversify funding streams to help\nensure that the vital work we do can continue\,” said Iain MacLeod\, Executive Director. “Our mission\, to advance\nunderstanding of ecology by exploring New Hampshire’s natural world\, is rooted in science. DESCRIPTION:*Open 9:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday\, November 11 for Veterans Day \nThursday & Friday\n10:00am to 4:00pm \nSaturday & Sunday\n9:00am to 4:00pm \nNEW TRAIL ALERT! \nEbb & Flow is officially open for riding. \nYou’ve seen the build creeping down the hill… and now it’s time to get first tracks. The first section of Ebb & Flow is ready to ride and open for laps! \nOur trail crew is absolutely crushing it. The first 5 turns are stacked\, packed\, and running great. This is a partial soft open—please note the full trail is still under construction. For everyone’s safety\, only ride the section that is currently open and ready. The temporary exit will merge onto the dirt pipe access trail heading into Central Park. \nCome check it out\, get some laps in\, and help shape the line—more tires = better flow. Literally. \nA special note on the name: \n\nEbb & Flow is named as a tribute to the late freeride legend Kyle Ebbett. Kyle had a big hand in Highland’s roots — helping design and build the original slalom course and the dirt pipe in this zone. He even announced multiple Claymore Challenges and helped move the sport forward in ways most riders today don’t even realize. Naming credit for this trail goes to longtime Highland customer Jimmy Ponte\, honoring Kyle in the place where so much of his influence lived.  \nWe’re heading into the final stretch of the season — and it feels right to open this one now. DESCRIPTION:Pink Floyd’s iconic album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’\, originally released in March 1973\, turns 50\, and what more fitting a place to celebrate it and experience it than in a Planetarium\, through the music set to visuals. With the help of modern technology\, the idea of a show combining breath-taking views of the solar system and beyond\, played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side Of The Moon in surround sound\, has been embraced by the band. NSC Creative have led the visual production efforts\, working closely with Pink Floyd’s long time creative collaborator Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis. Each song has a different theme; some futuristically looking forward and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history\, all relating to a time and space experience\, embracing up to the minute technology that only a Planetarium can offer. A truly immersive and all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat that will transcend reality and take you way beyond the realms of 2D experience.\nAll Music Under the Dome programs are intended for audiences 18+. May contain explicit language.\nDiscovery Center will open 30 minutes before the start of the show and will close 30 minutes after the end of the show. Please note for safety reasons there is no late entry into the Planetarium once the doors are closed.
