DESCRIPTION:Join artist Molly Grant at her studio in Canterbury\, NH on Saturday\, May\n2nd\, 2026 from 9 am – 5 pm for a Make Your Own Leather Bag Class with juried artist Molly\nGrant.\nJoin juried artist Molly Grant in her well-equipped studio in Canterbury\, NH\, for a one-day\nworkshop to learn the basics of working with fine leathers. Students will develop a bag of their\nchoice and learn pattern-making skills while using an industrial sewing machine to conceptualize\nand complete their project. Depending on the styles they choose\, students will be able to make\nand take home one to two bags of their own creation. Please bring a bagged lunch and drink as\nstudents will be given a lunch break.\nTuition is $135.00 per student with a $25 materials fee paid to the instructor on the day of\nclass. She especially loves painting scenes of bustling towns and historic settings….and if there is snow involved\, all the better.  Over the years\, painting portraits of homes has become her specialty. “After leaving a high-tech career in 1994\, I had no idea a new career in art would be in my future. I just knew I loved creating and wanted to learn as much as I could. A few lessons at the local art school eventually led to taking all the art courses at the community college\, and then years of practice.  That’s how it started. DESCRIPTION:Party Animals by Bethany Clarke \nThis exhibit runs at the McLane Center in Concord from March 11-May 2\, 2026. Join us in celebrating this exhibit with the artist on March 13 from 4-6pm at the McLane Center! \nDescription: Handprinted linocuts featuring an array of native New Hampshire plants and animals. The images are all initially sketched by hand and then transferred onto linoleum blocks. They are then carved with a blade. For printing\, the blocks are rolled with ink\, and paper is pressed onto them with a barren and body weight. When pulled up\, the paper includes a reverse image of the block. All prints have natural variances in tone due to human touch\, which is what makes them special. \nArt exhibit viewing access may be restricted during private event rentals. Calling ahead to confirm is recommended. \nBio: Bethany is a public school teacher and linocut printmaker living in Concord. Her prints feature a whimsical array of plants and animals native to New Hampshire. In addition to printing on paper\, she upcycles thrifted clothing with hand-printed patches and scrap quilted appliqué pieces. DESCRIPTION:Join Co-Founder and Winemaker Ken Hardcastle and/or Co-Founder Bob Manley for an intimate and educational tasting experience in the Hermit Woods Wine Cellar.\nThis unique event offers guests a rare opportunity to explore the evolution of Hermit Woods wines — from a young\, developing wine drawn straight from the barrel\, to a current vintage\, and finally to a beautifully aged library wine. Together\, we’ll explore how time and craftsmanship shape the flavor\, texture\, and complexity of our wines.\nAlong the way\, you’ll gain insight into the art and science of aging wine in both barrel and bottle\, and how each stage contributes to the character in your glass.\nTo enhance the experience\, a selection of small bites will be thoughtfully paired with the wines. Guests will also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase limited-release library wines to take home — bottles rarely made available to the public.\nThis is a one-of-a-kind tasting for anyone who appreciates fine wine and the stories that unfold with age.\nSpace for this event is limited\, and guests are encouraged to reserve online to ensure their spot. Then\, consider taking a “Meet the Winemakers” tour some Saturday afternoon.   This intimate tour of the winery and 2-way conversation with one of the winemakers is a fantastic way to experience Seven Birches Winery. \nThis exclusive experience has a limit of 15 people\, making it ideal for those that have a more-than-average interest in wine and how it is made.
