SUMMARY:86th Annual Members Exhibit at the Lakes Region Art Gallery - Tanger Outlets Suite #300\, Tilton NH
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 exhibit brings together nearly 40 artist members from throughout New Hampshire’s Lakes Region and features more than 100 exceptional works of art. \nBy Tuesday evening\, July 28\, Lynn Casey and her team of volunteers were adding the final touches to what has become our largest Members Exhibit to date. On Wednesday morning\, three independent judges arrived to a light breakfast of Danish and coffee before undertaking the challenging task of evaluating this unusually large and impressive collection. \nThursday’s Sneak Peek offers guests an early opportunity to explore the exhibit while allowing the Event Team to ensure every detail was in place for Friday evening’s Opening Reception. \nPlease join us at the Friday evening reception\, and mingle with many of the participating artists while enjoying refreshments generously provided by artists and friends of the Lakes Region Art Association. Ribbons and cash awards will be presented in each of the exhibit’s artistic categories\, recognizing outstanding achievement across a wide range of styles and media. \nYou may have seen that the reception is from 4-6- or you may have seen from 6-8… Due to some kind of miscommunication\, both times went out in our advertising!  Rest assured\, we will be here from 4-8\, so whichever time you choose to come is okay with us. \nWhile the independent judges evaluated the artwork on artistic merit\, gallery visitors now have an opportunity to recognize the works that speak most personally to them. Guests are invited to cast ballots in our concurrently running People’s Choice Awards\, selecting their favorite artwork in each of the categories\, along with their choice for Best in Show. Voting continues through August 30\, and the People’s Choice winners will be announced during the ArtTalk on September 21st. \nWith an exceptional  number of large-format works and an extraordinary caliber of artistic talent on  display\, this is an exhibit you will not want to miss. \nWe hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:Return to Wild Exhibit - McLane Center in Concord NH
DESCRIPTION:Return to the Wild Exhibit by Jackie Robidoux: July 8-August 29 at the McLane Center in Concord \nArt exhibit viewing access may be restricted during private event rentals. Calling ahead to confirm is recommended. \nExhibit Description: These images celebrate the wildlife that has found refuge at the Millstone Wildlife Center. Each animal\, cared for with gentle hands\, holds a special place in our hearts. Look into their eyes\, and you’ll glimpse a connection beyond words. There’s a quiet\, bittersweet ache in watching a healed creature return to the wild\, relief in its freedom\, and hope for its future. These animals remind us of the delicate balance of nature and the importance of coexisting with our wild neighbors\, whose homes are often right in our own backyards. \nA portion of this exhibit’s proceeds will support the vital conservation efforts of New Hampshire Audubon as well as the Millstone Wildlife Center\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing\, rehabilitating\, and releasing injured and orphaned wildlife back into their natural habitats. \nBio: Jackie Robidoux has been a wildlife photographer for over twenty years. She dedicates her time to capturing the beauty and intricacies of wildlife through a camera lens while actively working to protect that wildlife and its habitat. She is also a licensed New Hampshire wildlife rehabilitator and educator. As a rehabber\, she has gained hands-on experience\, providing unique insights into animal behavior and ecology. She runs programs in Southern New Hampshire on animal tracking\, practicing mindfulness in nature\, photography\, trail cameras\, and wildlife conservation. Over the years\, she has participated in studies in New England involving the Canada lynx\, eastern coyote\, bald eagle\, and eastern bluebird. Her passion is educating others on the importance of coexisting with wildlife and connecting people to the natural world. \n

DESCRIPTION:Join the founding winemaker\, Mark LaClair\, for a small-group wine sampling from the cellar library. The “library” is simply a set of wines that are no longer available for public tasting. They are only available for sale. \nMark will take you for a brief walk through the cellar\, then bring you into the Birch Room (private room off the main tasting room) for a sampling of 4 (predetermined) wines from the library rack. This one-on-one experience with Mark is very educational as much as it is entertaining. It is a great opportunity to ask all of those burning wine questions and to sample legacy Seven Birches Wines that the general public does not get to try. \n\nBrief walk through the wine cellar to see the equipment and activity of the day.\nOne-on-one (small group) time with Mark\, the founding winemaker of Seven Birches Winery.\nSample 4 wines from the “Library” – a set of wines off-limits to the general public.\nWine tasting and grape variety education.\nOpportunity to purchase library wines at a 10% discount.\n\n\nDo you enjoy wine tasting at wineries\, but always find yourself looking for something a bit deeper\, a bit more educational\, that includes off-menu wines? However\, many customers want a little bit more. They are searching for unique experiences that will linger in their memories for a lifetime. \nFounding winemaker\, Mark LaClair\, has spent his entire career creating experiences for people\, whether through the wines he crafted\, events that he produced\, or simply tasting experiences in the Seven Birches Winery tasting room. Now\, Mark has agreed to open his schedule for some direct\, one-on-one time. His wine knowledge\, presentation style\, and charismatic personality is what the tasting room is modeled after. He wanted everyone to experience wine with friends and family\, and to learn a little something along the way. Now you can experience all of this directly with him and in a way that elevates the wine tasting experience as a whole. \nThe fee you are paying for this experience certainly covers the cost of the wine tasting. SUMMARY:Castle in the Clouds Open Daily for the Season through October 25\, 2026 - Castle in the Clouds\, Moultonborough NH
DESCRIPTION:Visitors can look forward to spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee and daily tours of the restored Lucknow Mansion. This year\, Castle in the Clouds will debut a new exhibition\, From Private Estate to Public Treasure: Lucknow after Thomas and Olive Plant. This exhibit features stories\, photographs\, and memorabilia of the various owners of the Lucknow Estate before the Castle Preservation Society (CPS) was founded in 2006 to manage the estate as a public attraction and museum. \nThis year marks the 20th anniversary of CPS\, which is responsible for the ongoing care and restoration of the Lucknow Mansion and Estate. “This is a pivotal year for the Castle Preservation Society since we are concluding our current strategic plan and continuing to plan for the future of Castle in the Clouds\,” said Charles Clark\, Executive Director of CPS. “Our entire team of staff\, board and volunteers are extremely proud of all we have accomplished in the past 20 years\, including the significant renovations to the Lucknow Estate which are either complete or scheduled for completion this year.” \nIn 2025\, the U.S. Department of the Interior designated the Lucknow Estate as a National Historic Landmark (NHL). An NHL designation is the highest federal recognition of a property’s historical\, architectural or archaeological significance. This designation for the Lucknow Estate is a testament to the efforts of CPS and the Lakes Region Conservation Trust to care for the property. \nThroughout this season\, Castle in the Clouds will offer 200+ public program sessions\, including classes and workshops\, a presentation on the history of Ossipee Park\, a production of Romeo and Juliet from Advice to the Players\, and many other community events. The full calendar of programs and events can be found on the Castle in the Clouds website. \nThe 2026 season runs from May 23 to October 25. The property is open to visitors daily. Guests are encouraged to enter the property via the Historic Entrance. The original driveway to the Estate was repaved at the end of 2025\, and provides an amazing introductory experience to any Castle visit. Onsite tickets are available for purchase beginning at 10:00 am daily\, or online tickets can be purchased in advance. The Gift Shop\, Carriage House and Exhibit Gallery open at 10:00 am and trolley service to the mansion begins at 10:15 am. Lunch is served in the Carriage House restaurant daily from 11:30 am until 3:30 pm. In addition to self-guided mansion tours\, a limited number of tickets for guided tours of Lucknow Mansion and the Lucknow Mansion Basement are also available for those seeking an in-depth and behind-the-scenes experience. For more information and to purchase tickets\, visit www.castleintheclouds.org. \n  \nABOUT CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS \nAs the premier historical museum in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire\, Castle in the Clouds provides each visitor with a look into the past while providing contemporary comforts to make every visit memorable. Originally called Lucknow\, this breathtaking 6\,300-acre property was developed in 1913 by Thomas G. Plant\, a wealthy shoe manufacturer\, to create a luxurious lifestyle with state-of-the-art amenities\, beautiful hand-made furnishings\, and a large staff to run the estate. These days\, visitors come from all around the world to tour the mansion and exhibit gallery\, dine in the Carriage House Restaurant or Café in the Clouds\, hike miles of hiking and walking trails maintained by partner organization the Lakes Region Conservation Trust\, or enjoy one of our many programs and events. Operated by the Castle Preservation Society\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, Castle in the Clouds is revered as a cultural and educational resource with the Lucknow Estate both listed on the National Register of Historic Places with national significance and designated by the U.S. Department of the Interior as a National Historic Landmark in 2025.
