This StoryWalk features Begin with a Bee by Jennie Webber\, a beautifully illustrated children’s book following the life of a bumble bee queen throughout the year. \nAs you make your way from page to page along the Floodplain Loop Trail\, enjoy the story while taking in the natural beauty around you. It’s a fun and engaging activity for young readers and their families\, combining literacy\, nature\, and discovery. \nThe Grey Rocks StoryWalk can be enjoyed any day from dawn to dusk. Parking and use of Grey Rocks Conservation Area are free and open to all. \nWant to make it a scavenger hunt\, too? Pick up our coordinated scavenger hunt inside the Conservation Center\, or download and print your own before you visit: StoryWalk Scavenger Hunt. Turn in your completed scavenger hunt at the Grey Rocks Conservation Center and receive a sticker! \nThe Grey Rocks Conservation Center (located at 178 North Shore Rd\, Hebron\, NH) is open \n\n\nBuilding/Center Hours: Thursday – Monday\, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday)\n\n\n\n\nTrails and Boat Launch: Open daily\, year-round from dawn to dusk.

DESCRIPTION:Live Animal Trail at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center celebrating our 60th anniversary year. \nOpen meadows\, mature forests\, and marsh boardwalks connect interactive natural exhibits where native animals reside: black bear\, mountain lion\, raptors\, river otter\, bobcat\, and more. \nTrails are open through November 1\, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last trail admission at 3:30 p.m.) \nFor 60 years\, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has been a favorite destination\, bringing joy\, connection\, and\nwonder to generations of visitors through the Live Animal Exhibit Trail\, natural science education programs\,\nguided Squam Lake Cruises and the vibrant charm of Kirkwood Gardens. The Science Center is Certified Sensory\nInclusive by KultureCity. Plan at least two and a half hours to walk the Live Animal Exhibit Trail.\nCost: Trail rates for 2026 are $30 for adults; $28 for seniors (age 65+); $24 for youth (ages 3-15); free for children\n2 and under and Science Center members.
