The anniversary weekend is designed to honor both longtime campers and new families who continue to make Danforth Bay part of their traditions year after year.  \nIn addition to the Labor Day Weekend celebration\, special anniversary activities\, giveaways\, themed events\, and entertainment will be offered throughout the 2026 camping season as part of Danforth Bay’s yearlong 25th anniversary celebration.  \nThe multi-day Labor Day Weekend celebration will pack the resort with family-friendly fun\, kicking off with a festive Golf Cart Parade and rolling through a full lineup of activities for all ages — from a Craft Fair and Food Trucks to Tie-Dye and Ceramics Painting. Guests can test their luck at Candy Bar Bingo\, show off their skills in a Cornhole Tournament\, and cool off at not one but two unforgettable pool parties: a daytime splash with DJ Ram Jam and a magical Glow Pool Party after dark. The festivities will also include an Ice Cream Social featuring familiar faces from Danforth Bay’s 25-year history\, and cap off with a spectacular Dueling Pianos performance that’s sure to be foot-stomping fun. \nGuests can also enjoy nostalgic photo displays\, anniversary merchandise and reunion opportunities with former staff and longtime campers. Additional event details\, schedules\, and entertainment announcements will be released throughout the season.  \n \nThe large swimming pool at Danforth Bay will be the site for not one but two pool parties during the Labor Weekend 25th Anniversary celebration. \n  \nA History of Property Upgrades \nSince being purchased by the Hoyt Family in 2000\, Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort has undergone significant improvements. The family bought what used to be the old Shawtown campground\, with its half-mile of frontage on Ossipee Lake and more than 300 campsites\, rebuilding it from scratch into a full-service resort offering a variety of activities\, especially for families with children.   \nIn 2005\, they underwent the $3.5 million development of the Bluffs at Danforth Bay. In 2023\, the resort announced extensive upgrades to the resort’s amenities\, including a six-figure investment in a new swimming pool facility. Squam Lake Cruises are held on small\, covered pontoon boats holding approximately 20 passengers. They are narrated tours and passengers must remain seated for the duration of the cruise. Children age 12 and under must wear a life jacket per New Hampshire State law.\n\n\n\n\n\nCruises are 90 minutes long and on canopied pontoon boats. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your cruise departure time. New Hampshire State law requires youth ages 12 and under to wear a life jacket on board. \nAdvance reservations are required. \nSpace on all cruises is limited. Everyone must make advance reservations and payment. We do not hold seats or maintain waiting lists. \nCancellations: \nCruises may be cancelled if there are fewer than four passengers registered. Cruises may be cancelled at any time due to weather\, unsafe conditions\, or other circumstances. If we cancel a cruise we will contact passengers to reschedule on another date or to issue a full refund. If passengers must cancel\, please call the Science Center at 603-968-7194 x 7 to reschedule or request a full refund. Passengers must cancel at least 24 hours before the start of the cruise to receive a refund. \nParking: \nSquam Lakes Natural Science Center is located on Route 113 in Holderness\, NH. Park in Science Center parking lots and follow the walking path across Route 113 to Lake Cruise Headquarters. Please arrive 15 minutes before your cruise departure time.
