DESCRIPTION:The Friday following Labor Day brings the Meet of the Lee’s Mills Steamboat Association to Moultonborough\, where as many as fifty steamboats are expected for ten days of activities. This festive event\, the world’s largest annual steamboat meet\, has become a major attraction for Moultonborough and Lake Winnipesaukee. Steamboats will arrive to Moultonborough\, all assembling at the Lee’s Mills docks by the weekend\, with most staying until Sunday\, September 20th\, 2026.\nWhile the schedule of events is subject to change\, visitors to the Annual Steamboat Meet can expect two steamboat parades on Lake Winnipesaukee. On Sunday\, September 13th\, 2026\, steamboats will leave Lee’s Mills at 2pm for Moultonborough Bay. On Saturday\, September 19th\, 2026\, steamboats will parade to Green’s Basin at 10am. Join Squam Lakes Association LRCC members for a day of trail work and hiking on Sunday\, September 13th from 9 am to 3 pm to prep a section of trail for the 14th Annual Squam Ridge Race. \nParticipants will meet at Burleigh Farm Road near the base of Old Highway Trail at 9 am\, be given a brief introduction\, and clear water bars\, brush\, and blowdowns up Old Highway Trail\, up to Prescott Trail\, Crawford Ridgepole Trail to top of Old Mountain Road\, then down and back to cars. The total mileage for the day will be 3.5 miles. Expect to be working on trail for the duration of the day and to break for lunch. The day will wrap up with participants returning to the trailhead by 3 pm. \nFirst time doing trail work? No problem! Lakes Region Conservation Corps members will be guiding the group\, providing tools and instruction. \nCome join us for a day of fun\, camaraderie\, and giving back to the trails and hiking community! The downhill track curves\, banks and loops its way down the mountain\, winding through the trees. Riders can easily control their own speed as each cart is equipped with its own braking system\, allowing guests to choose between a gentle cruise or thrilling race down the mountain at speeds up to 25 miles per hour. Coaster carts can be ridden by a solo driver or with an additional passenger. \nFor guests looking for an adrenaline rush\, Gunstock’s Zipline Tours and Aerial Treetop Adventure course take adventure to new heights. Visitors soar from peak to peak\, and peak to base\, on the 90-minute ZipTour experience. DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Music on the Green concert series is an easy way to spend a Sunday afternoon this summer at Canterbury Shaker Village! \nOn the effervescent green lawn of our historic Meeting House (1792)\, under a grand canopy of maple trees\, overlooking gorgeous rolling fields and hills\, enjoy 5 Sunday afternoon concerts tastefully crafted to showcase some of the best artists and musicians in southern New Hampshire. \nHead out with your family\, meet up with some friends\, pack an afternoon meal and drinks\, and soak in a summer Sunday with great music on the green at Canterbury Shaker Village. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen is the 2026 series? \nEvery other Sunday\, from July 19th through September 13th. The concerts will run from 4-5pm. Come early before the concerts and register for a tour of the Village\, walk our nature trails\, and visit our Village Store! \nWhere is it?  \nAt Canterbury Shaker Village\, New Hampshire. Concerts on Meeting House lawn. If there is inclement weather\, concerts will be held in our covered North Shop\, in the middle of the Village. \nWhat can I bring?  \nPlease bring what you might for a wonderful afternoon picnic! Foldable chairs and blankets are encouraged for seating\, and feel free to bring outside food and beverage to enjoy as you listen to great music! Dogs must be leashed at all times and well-behaved. No smoking. \nAdmission? \nPay what you can sliding scale; suggested donation of $15.
