SUMMARY:New to the Gallery - Emily Squibb - Lakes Region Art Association Gallery - Tanger Outlets\, Tilton NH
DESCRIPTION:The Lakes Region Art Gallery welcomes a new artist to the gallery. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmily Squibb \nArt runs throughout my lineage. Many of my ancestors have been artists of one kind or another; poets\, lyricists\, painters\, and photographers. I have dabbled in art for the pure pleasure of losing time\, enjoyment of different mediums\, personal and world expression\, and grounding practices. \n  \nSharing my photography with the LRAA community has been an edge for me; putting my art “out there” was a personal accomplishment. With all of the encouragement from the LRAA community\, my children\, and my partner\, my work now adorns the gallery wall.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs I wander the woods and fields\, I step lightly and slowly. I observe the small wonders that unfortunately\, for folks rushing through their day\, they completely miss. I capture tiny worlds of beauty that one must seek to find. There is so much out there!!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLRAA Art Gallery\, Suite 300\, Tanger Outlets\,120 Laconia Road\, Tilton\, NH \n

SUMMARY:Power and Propulsion Exhibit(Showcasing A Unique Fleet of Ice Boats) - NH Boat Museum\, Moultonborough NH
DESCRIPTION:This season\, we are thrilled to showcase a unique fleet of ice boats as part of our Power and Propulsion exhibit!  These sleek wind-driven vessels are a passion of NHBM volunteers Charlie Silfvenius and Anne Louise Rowe\, who were instrumental in the design of this year’s display. \nIce sailboats\, powered by the wind\, can achieve speeds significantly higher than the wind speed at which they are sailing. This is largely due to the friction-free surface of ice\, which can allow the boat to sail up to 5 times the wind speed. \nA few fun facts: \n\nIce boats do not have keels but instead sit on “runners” or skates\nTop speed have reached 140 mph\nIce boats have no brakes. To stop\, they turn into the wind and release the tension on the sail\n\nVisit the Museum this summer to discover the world of ice boating and explore the many fascinating ways boats are propelled! \nHours for the season as of June 17: \n            June 17\, 2025 to September 28\, 2025 \nWednesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm \nSunday 12pm – 4pm \nOctober 3 – October 12\, 2025 \nFriday – Saturday 10am – 4pm \nSunday 12pm – 4pm \n\n\n\n\nAdmission and Hours \n130 Whittier Hwy (Rte 25)\nMoultonborough\, NH 03254

SUMMARY:'Best in Shell" Exhibit - League of NH Craftsmen Gallery- Meredith Fine Craft Gallery\, Meredith NH
DESCRIPTION:The Meredith League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Fine Craft\nGallery is delighted to announce a whimsical and creative new exhibit\, “Best in Shell\,” that pays\ntribute to one of nature’s most enduring and beloved creatures: the turtle. This special showcase\nfeatures a wide array of handcrafted works inspired by the turtle’s form and symbolism\, brought\nto life through the artistry of juried-in craftspeople.\nThe turtle\, often seen as a symbol of wisdom\, longevity\, and resilience\, is beautifully interpreted\nin various forms and reminds us of the timeless connection between nature and craft. From\nplayful to practical\, the exhibit highlights how artists interpret the turtle motif across different\nmediums. SUMMARY:Music on the Green - The Random Band - Canterbury Shaker Village\, Canterbury NH
DESCRIPTION:Remember MP3 players? \nMany had the setting or button “Random”. When selected\, the player would shuffle through your music library selecting tunes at random. Random Band does the same thing – over a much more eclectic library: from Leonard Cohen to Gid Tanner & His Skillet Lickers\, Social Protest to Sea Shanties\, Grateful Dead to Gospel; accompanied by an equally interesting range of musical instruments! \nThis group of locally infamous musicians includes:\nBrian Roff; vocals\, rhythm guitar\, harmonica\, occasional\nloud foot tapping and snide comments. \nDick Bennett; vocals\, endless prattle and a varying array\nof\, sometimes musical\, instruments. (A list would spoil\nthe surprise) \nOthers; as time\, schedules\, incarceration terms and legal\nauthorities permit. \nRandom: the name says it all! \nThis event is rain or shine. In the event of bad weather\, the concert will move indoors. \nCost: Free admission with a suggested donation of $20. \n\n\n\n\nGood times and good music. \n288 Shaker Road Canterbury\, NH
