SUMMARY:Pottery Artist Michael Gibbons - League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery\, Meredith NH
DESCRIPTION:The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen\, Meredith Fine Craft\nGallery is delighted to present the beauty of autumn into winter captured by juried-in pottery\nartist Michael Gibbons. Michael’s handcrafted stoneware evokes the quiet transition from\nautumn to winter through rich\, natural tones and evocative glaze work.\nEach piece is crafted from brown stoneware clay\, offering a grounded\, organic base that\ncomplements the artist’s signature palette of blue\, slate and rust glazes and colored slips. These\nearthy and atmospheric hues capture the essence of mountain sunsets\, shifting skies\, and the soft\nlandscapes of the changing seasons.\nFrom subtle\, abstract impressions of fall foliage and dusky horizons with beautiful sunsets to the\ncool serenity of snow-dusted peaks and early winter light\, Michael’s pottery tells a story of\nnature’s rhythm and beauty. The work combines both functional and decorative elements with\neach mug\, bowl\, syrup pitcher and wall-plaque a one-of-a-kind reflection of the artist’s\nconnection to the landscape and its ever-changing colors. Other vessels of function and beauty\ndepicting the mountains of New Hampshire include utensil holders\, ramen and rice bowls\, log\nbutter dishes and sponge holders.\nThe Meredith Fine Craft Gallery invites you to come in and see Michael Gibbons’ work and\nexperience the feeling of standing outdoors as the air changes and the light deepens. For more\ninformation\, please call the Gallery at 603-279-7920 or visit our website meredith.nhcrafts.org.\nThe League of NH Craftsmen Gallery is located at 279 DW Hwy. Meredith\, NH. SUMMARY:How I Built this Event - Brandon Borghi - WORK Lakes Region\, Laconia NH
DESCRIPTION:What do you do when the world shuts down your gyms\, your cash flow stalls\, and your business model depends on people being less than 6 feet apart? \nIf you’re Brandon Borghi\, you don’t sit still—you pivot hard. \nWhen COVID disrupted their fitness businesses\, Brandon and his family took a bold risk: they launched Epoxy New England\, a new venture built from the ground up to thrive in uncertain times. What started as a quick-thinking solution became New England’s premier epoxy flooring company\, specializing in high-performance\, multi-layer concrete restoration and enhancement for residential and commercial spaces alike. \nFrom basements to warehouses\, their work didn’t just shine—it soared. By combining elite-grade materials\, expert execution\, and smart branding\, the Borghi crew built a company designed for growth\, built to last—and ultimately\, built to sell. \nBy the end of 2024\, Epoxy New England caught the eye of a growing national service brand and was acquired—marking a clean\, strategic exit born from a moment of pure necessity. \nIn this high-energy session\, Brandon shares how they launched fast\, scaled smart\, and made every move count. Learn what it really takes to pivot under pressure\, build with the end in mind\, and create a brand polished enough to attract the right buyer. \nIf you’ve ever thought about building a business with the long game in mind—this one’s for you. \nRSVP HERE \n📍 Location: WORK Lakes Region\, 51 Elm St\, Laconia\, NH \n🍽️ Lunch Included \n⏰ Doors Open: 12:00 PM | Program Runs: 12:15–1:30 PM

SUMMARY:Full Moon Hike: West Rattlesnake - Meet West Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead Parking Lot\, Center Sandwich NH
DESCRIPTION:Come join the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) on Wednesday\, November 5th for a 2.0 mile hike up West Rattlesnake under the light of the full moon. The November full moon is called the Beaver Moon. It is also a supermoon\, making it appear larger and brighter than a typical full moon because it will be at its closest point to Earth. Led by LRCC AmeriCorps members Dani and Emma\, participants will enjoy a short evening hike and gazing upon the moon over Squam Lake. We will meet at the West Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead Parking Lot and hit the trail at 7:00 PM. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required for this free event. \nFor more information\, or to sign up for this Adventure Ecology program\, visit the SLA website (squamlakes.org) or contact the SLA directly (603-968-7336). The SLA also offers other Adventure Ecology programs throughout the year. These free programs are open to the public and cover a variety of nature and conservation related topics. The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the LRCC AmeriCorps members at the SLA who perform important conservation work in support of the Association’s mission. \nThe Squam Lakes Association is dedicated to conserving for public benefit the natural beauty\, peaceful character and resources of the watershed. In collaboration with local and state partners the SLA promotes the protection\, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes\, mountains\, forests\, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region.
