This bold body of work explores the intersection of form\, scale\, and material\, pushing the boundaries of traditional pottery into the realm of contemporary sculpture. \nTori grew up in New York and from her early years she began working with clay which stayed with her throughout college and into her adult years. Tori’s journey brought her to Asheville\, North Carolina where she did an apprenticeship that developed her love for big vessels. So from beginning with dinnerware\, Tori’s focus went to over-sized terracotta pieces that create their own presence in a room. \nTori’s signature large vessels combine ancient techniques with a modern sensibility\, showcasing the raw beauty of clay through powerful silhouettes and earthy glazes. Each piece balances strength and abstraction\, reflecting themes of endurance\, transformation\, and timelessness. Tori’s vessels are rooted in tradition\, but their scale and presence transform them into something more contemplative and architectural. She designs her beautiful vessels to be in harmony with their space\, whether inside or outdoors. \nTori Motyl’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation as seen in her monolithic pots are magnificent and inspiring. Loon Cruises focus on Common Loon conservation\, biology\, and monitoring. A Science Center naturalist joins a LPC biologist who guides the tour and discusses the work LPC does across the state and on Squam to protect these extraordinary birds. The cruise route is chosen to maximize Loon observations. \nCruises are 90 minutes long and on canopied pontoon boats. New Hampshire State law requires youth ages 12 and under to wear a life jacket on board. \nNot recommended for ages 5 and under. \nBinoculars will be available free of charge or you may bring your own. Dress appropriately for the weather and remember that it is cooler on the lake. Be prepared for rain.\nPlease arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your cruise departure time. \nIf we need to cancel your cruise due to weather we will contact you to reschedule or issue you a full refund. This bold body of work explores the intersection of form\, scale\, and material\, pushing the boundaries of traditional pottery into the realm of contemporary sculpture. \nTori grew up in New York and from her early years she began working with clay which stayed with her throughout college and into her adult years. Tori’s journey brought her to Asheville\, North Carolina where she did an apprenticeship that developed her love for big vessels. So from beginning with dinnerware\, Tori’s focus went to over-sized terracotta pieces that create their own presence in a room. \nTori’s signature large vessels combine ancient techniques with a modern sensibility\, showcasing the raw beauty of clay through powerful silhouettes and earthy glazes. Each piece balances strength and abstraction\, reflecting themes of endurance\, transformation\, and timelessness. Tori’s vessels are rooted in tradition\, but their scale and presence transform them into something more contemplative and architectural. She designs her beautiful vessels to be in harmony with their space\, whether inside or outdoors. \nTori Motyl’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation as seen in her monolithic pots are magnificent and inspiring. DESCRIPTION:A new open season at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum means a new temporary exhibit in our Contemporary Gallery. We’re proud to present Sights & Sounds of Powwow\, an exhibit on the regalia\, music\, and instruments seen and heard at these festive events. This multi-sensory experience was created by members of our Native community alongside dedicated museum staff to deepen public understanding of the traditions and living cultures celebrated at powwows\, exploring the cultural significance and beauty of powwow regalia and the dances they accompany. DESCRIPTION:The Meredith League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Fine Craft Gallery is delighted to welcome 2025 juried member ceramic artist Tori Motyl\, known for her striking and large-scale vessel pottery. This bold body of work explores the intersection of form\, scale\, and material\, pushing the boundaries of traditional pottery into the realm of contemporary sculpture. \nTori grew up in New York and from her early years she began working with clay which stayed with her throughout college and into her adult years. Tori’s journey brought her to Asheville\, North Carolina where she did an apprenticeship that developed her love for big vessels. So from beginning with dinnerware\, Tori’s focus went to over-sized terracotta pieces that create their own presence in a room. \nTori’s signature large vessels combine ancient techniques with a modern sensibility\, showcasing the raw beauty of clay through powerful silhouettes and earthy glazes. Each piece balances strength and abstraction\, reflecting themes of endurance\, transformation\, and timelessness. Tori’s vessels are rooted in tradition\, but their scale and presence transform them into something more contemplative and architectural. She designs her beautiful vessels to be in harmony with their space\, whether inside or outdoors. \nTori Motyl’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation as seen in her monolithic pots are magnificent and inspiring.
