SUMMARY:Visiting Artists at Gallery - Artistic Roots\, Plymouth NH
DESCRIPTION:Stop by to see their work which will be at the Gallery through February of 2026. We invite you to join us at the reception\, refreshments will be served and all are welcome. \nGallery Open Daily 10-5pm. \nJanet Kent Cocchiaro has lived in Holderness\, New Hampshire for over twenty-five years.  Her inspiration comes from the beautiful natural world around her\, especially her garden\, the fields and woods near her house and White Oak Pond.  She is fascinated with the constantly changing colors\, textures and light both on and near the pond.  Her first medium was printing with foam plates\, but she has been experimenting with acrylics\, water color crayons\, soft pastels\, and collage. \nChloe Springis is a painter living in Plymouth\, NH. Her work comes from a very humble and selfish act of looking inward. Her paintings are a momentary reflection on memories she feels to be important. Her paintings seek to portray a whimsical\, feminine\, dream space\, reminiscent of dead shadows gone by and fleeting moments of sheer gratitude. \nMarguerite Bride is a watercolorist who has been painting for about 30 years. Her images include intricate cityscapes\, landscapes\, house and business portraits\, historic scenes\, and so much more. A true New Englander\, she is particularly fond of painting snowy winter scenes. Her style is realistic but “painterly”. Her paintings include traditional watercolor on paper and also on canvas\, which provides a very different look and feel. Marguarite moved last May from the Berkshires in western MA to Plymouth\, NH. \nAvia Robinson is a high school student based in Southwick\, Massachusetts\, with a passion for both art and the environment. Avia spends much of her year in Rumney\, New Hampshire\, in her family’s seasonal cottage. During her time there\, she’s discovered the wonders of local wildlife\, which are now often depicted in much of her art. She hopes that the themes of conservation she incorporates into her art will enable others to appreciate the importance of protecting local and diverse wildlife. \nArtistic Roots / 73 Main Street / Plymouth NH \n603-536-2750   https://www.artisticroots.com

SUMMARY:Pottery Artist Michael Gibbons - League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery\, Meredith NH
DESCRIPTION:The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen\, Meredith Fine Craft\nGallery is delighted to present the beauty of autumn into winter captured by juried-in pottery\nartist Michael Gibbons. Michael’s handcrafted stoneware evokes the quiet transition from\nautumn to winter through rich\, natural tones and evocative glaze work.\nEach piece is crafted from brown stoneware clay\, offering a grounded\, organic base that\ncomplements the artist’s signature palette of blue\, slate and rust glazes and colored slips. These\nearthy and atmospheric hues capture the essence of mountain sunsets\, shifting skies\, and the soft\nlandscapes of the changing seasons.\nFrom subtle\, abstract impressions of fall foliage and dusky horizons with beautiful sunsets to the\ncool serenity of snow-dusted peaks and early winter light\, Michael’s pottery tells a story of\nnature’s rhythm and beauty. The work combines both functional and decorative elements with\neach mug\, bowl\, syrup pitcher and wall-plaque a one-of-a-kind reflection of the artist’s\nconnection to the landscape and its ever-changing colors. Other vessels of function and beauty\ndepicting the mountains of New Hampshire include utensil holders\, ramen and rice bowls\, log\nbutter dishes and sponge holders.\nThe Meredith Fine Craft Gallery invites you to come in and see Michael Gibbons’ work and\nexperience the feeling of standing outdoors as the air changes and the light deepens. For more\ninformation\, please call the Gallery at 603-279-7920 or visit our website meredith.nhcrafts.org.\nThe League of NH Craftsmen Gallery is located at 279 DW Hwy. Meredith\, NH. Gallery is open \nMonday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 12Noon-5pm.\nThe League of NH Craftsmen is a non-profit organization that encourages and promotes the\ncreation\, use and preservation of fine contemporary and traditional hand crafts. SUMMARY:MKIM is Open all Winter Long & Artifact of the Month - Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum\, Warner NH
DESCRIPTION:Looking for someplace to escape the cold? It may be freezing outside\, but it’s nice and toasty inside MKIM! \nWe’ll be open Fridays and Saturdays all winter long\, where you’ll always be greeted with a fun\, educational experience\, and a smile or two. \nCome join us! \nPlease Note: If it is snowing during a day we are supposed to be open\, please call the museum or check our Facebook to make sure we have not closed due to inclement weather. Thank you. \nARTIFACT OF THE MONTH \nFitting with the snow we’ve been getting\, January’s Artifact of the Month is this pair of northeastern Canadian-style snowshoes. This pair was made in the 1930s\, consisting of a wooden frame with netting\, cord\, and thongs made from animal hide. This particular shape of snowshoe is referred to as “bearpaw” because of its wide\, almost circular shape that is perfect for hiking through dense woods or rocky areas. View these along with other snowshoes on display in MKIM’s Northeast gallery! \n \nMt. Kearsarge Indian Museum / 18 Highlawn Rd. / Warner NH \n603-456-2600

Here’s a full breakdown of what you need to know before you buy and why it might be the best investment you make this year.\n\nWhat to Have Ready When You Purchase\nBuying your Stash Pass is straightforward\, but there are a few things to have on hand. You’ll need a photo for each pass holder in your purchase\, and you’ll be asked to sign the Skier/Rider Agreement Waiver at the time of purchase. Anyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf.\nIf you’re a first-time season pass buyer\, note that a one-time $5 card fee applies to all new season purchases. Already have your RFID card from a previous season? Great\, renewing pass holders can use their original card. Just keep in mind that season passes are non-transferable and non-refundable\, and a $49 fee applies for any lost or replaced pass.\n\nWhat the Stash Pass Gets You\nThe headline perk is simple: ski or ride every single day Ragged Mountain is open during the 2026+27 Winter Season. And if you’re buying new this year\, you’ll also get to ski and ride for free for the remainder of the 2025-26 season\, so you’re essentially getting two seasons for the price of one.\n\nBuddy Tickets: A Great Perk for the Social Skier\nWant to bring your friends and family along? Stash Pass holders receive 4 Buddy Tickets. New this year\, if you purchase by April 19th\, you’ll have two options for how you use them: pay $160 for 4 passes ($40 each)\, or receive 4 promo codes for 40% off each ticket. It’s a flexible way to share the mountain with the people you love. Note that College\, Military\, and Jr. Lease program passes do not include Buddy Tickets.\n\nReciprocal Resort Perks\nThe Stash Pass goes well beyond Ragged Mountain. Pass holders enjoy access to an impressive network of regional resorts and parks\, including five complimentary tickets to Jay Peak Resort with 50% off additional tickets (blackout dates apply). You’ll also get 50% off any day at Dartmouth Skiway\, McIntyre\, Whaleback\, and Granite Gorge\, plus 50% off midweek and 25% off weekends at Pat’s Peak and Ski Butternut in Massachusetts. And when the snow melts\, the savings continue: pass holders receive 50% off midweek and 25% off weekend passes to Highland Mountain Bike Park.\n\nThe Bottom Line\nWhether you’re a local who lives for powder days or someone looking to explore the wider New England ski scene\, the Ragged Mountain Stash Pass delivers serious value. With unlimited skiing\, buddy ticket flexibility\, and regional resort perks\, it’s a pass worth getting early.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore Info\n  \nRagged Mountain Resort’s winter hours are Monday-Friday 9 AM – 4 PM\, and Weekends & Holidays 8:30 AM – 4 PM\,  Jan 17-18\, Feb 14-16\, 2026) following the weekend schedule. \n\nClosing: Projected Closing April 5\, 2026. \n\nHow to Get the Latest Info\n\nCheck Ragged Mountain’s Website: Visit their official site or social media for real-time updates on operations.\nwww.raggedmountainresort.com\nLook for Spring Operations: They often run into May; check their site for late-season deals and conditions. \n\n2025-26 Lift Ticket Rates\nDue to anticipated high demand\, especially during peak holiday periods\, lift tickets and rentals must be purchased online in advance.
