SUMMARY:Open for Season 2025 - NH Boat Museum\, Moultonborough NH
DESCRIPTION:New Hampshire Boat Museum (NHBM) is OPEN for the 2025 season with new exhibits designed to educate and entertain people of all ages. \nIn 2025\, new exhibits include ‘Power and Propulsion\,’ ‘Applications and Innovations\,’ and ‘Speed and Sport.’ The central Marina Exhibit\, ‘Mahogany Marvels\,’ will feature various classic wooden boats\, including early 20th-century Chris-Crafts. \n“Whether you enjoy boating\, lake life\, history\, or just a good story\, we have something to engage everyone here at the Museum\,” remarked Development Director Wendy Stocker. \nIn addition to special events like the upcoming Night at the Museum\, NHBM offers vintage boat rides on Lake Winnipesaukee. “If you have not explored the Lake on the Millie B or Miss Lauren\, you are missing out\,” said Program Manager \nAnne Lennon. “It really is a true step back into yesteryear.” \nThrough hands-on workshops and programs\, NHBM also equips visitors with knowledge and practical skills. One of the deeper goals behind these and all NHBM programs—on or off the water—is its focus on stewardship and sustainability. \n“By preserving and sharing stories of boating innovation\, NHBM connects the ingenuity of the past with the stewardship of tomorrow’s waterways\,” explained Stocker. \nIn looking ahead to the season\, Lennon credited a committed core of volunteers as instrumental in the planning and creation of this year’s featured exhibits. “So much of what people will see and experience here this summer results from the efforts of volunteers who collectively invested thousands of hours into NHBM this offseason\,” she said. “I think visitors will be impressed by the fine details of the exhibit sets our volunteers have created.” \nMuseum hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.\, Tuesday through Saturday\, and noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free for NHBM members and children (9 and under)\, $15 for adults (over 18)\, $13 for seniors (over 65)\, and $10 for students (10-17). For more information about the 2025 season and upcoming events\, visit nhbm.org. \nFounded in 1992 by antique and classic boating enthusiasts\, NHBM offers dynamic exhibits\, engaging programs\, and events tailored to the diverse boating lifestyles and values of people of all ages. NHBM is partly sponsored by Home Comfort\, North Water Marine\, Goodhue Boat Company\, Belletetes\, Eastern Propane and Oil\, Kingswood Press and Design Studios\, and Watermark Marine. \n130 Whittier Hwy (Rte 25) · Moultonborough\, NH \n

SUMMARY:OPENING WEEKEND: Pink Floyd Darkside of the Moon 50 Years - McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center\, Concord NH
DESCRIPTION:For tickets go to:  https://www.starhop.com/underthedome\n\nPink Floyd’s iconic album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’\, originally released in March 1973\, turns 50\, and what more fitting a place to celebrate it and experience it than in a Planetarium\, through the music set to visuals. With the help of modern technology\, the idea of a show combining breath-taking views of the solar system and beyond\, played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side Of The Moon in surround sound\, has been embraced by the band. NSC Creative have led the visual production efforts\, working closely with Pink Floyd’s long time creative collaborator Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis. Each song has a different theme; some futuristically looking forward and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history\, all relating to a time and space experience\, embracing up to the minute technology that only a Planetarium can offer. A truly immersive and all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat that will transcend reality and take you way beyond the realms of 2D experience.\nAll Music Under the Dome programs are intended for audiences 18+. May contain explicit language.\nDiscovery Center will open 30 minutes before the start of the show and will close 30 minutes after the end of the show. Please note for safety reasons there is no late entry into the Planetarium once the doors are closed. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the show start time.\nThis program may not be suitable for individuals who experience certain conditions including motion sickness\, epilepsy\, and more due to the nature of the immersive visuals\, sounds\, and effects used in the experience. The program may include flashing lights\, rapidly changing visuals\, or strobe effects\, which could potentially trigger seizures in individuals with epilepsy or those sensitive to flashing lights.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2 Institute Dr. /  Concord NH
