SUMMARY:Pottery Artist Michael Gibbons - League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery\, Meredith NH
DESCRIPTION:The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen\, Meredith Fine Craft\nGallery is delighted to present the beauty of autumn into winter captured by juried-in pottery\nartist Michael Gibbons. Michael’s handcrafted stoneware evokes the quiet transition from\nautumn to winter through rich\, natural tones and evocative glaze work.\nEach piece is crafted from brown stoneware clay\, offering a grounded\, organic base that\ncomplements the artist’s signature palette of blue\, slate and rust glazes and colored slips. These\nearthy and atmospheric hues capture the essence of mountain sunsets\, shifting skies\, and the soft\nlandscapes of the changing seasons.\nFrom subtle\, abstract impressions of fall foliage and dusky horizons with beautiful sunsets to the\ncool serenity of snow-dusted peaks and early winter light\, Michael’s pottery tells a story of\nnature’s rhythm and beauty. The work combines both functional and decorative elements with\neach mug\, bowl\, syrup pitcher and wall-plaque a one-of-a-kind reflection of the artist’s\nconnection to the landscape and its ever-changing colors. Other vessels of function and beauty\ndepicting the mountains of New Hampshire include utensil holders\, ramen and rice bowls\, log\nbutter dishes and sponge holders.\nThe Meredith Fine Craft Gallery invites you to come in and see Michael Gibbons’ work and\nexperience the feeling of standing outdoors as the air changes and the light deepens. For more\ninformation\, please call the Gallery at 603-279-7920 or visit our website meredith.nhcrafts.org.\nThe League of NH Craftsmen Gallery is located at 279 DW Hwy. Meredith\, NH. SUMMARY:Flamy Grant - Capital Center for the Arts/Bank of NH Stage\, Concord NH
DESCRIPTION:Sun\, Nov 16 @ 4:00 PM\n(Doors open at 3:00 PM) \n\nPricing: $31 in advance; $36 at doors (Includes per ticket fees) \nGet Tickets \nVenue: BNH Stage\n16 S. Main St\, Concord\, NH 03301\n\n\n\n\n \n \n\nAward-winning and Billboard-charting artist Flamy Grant is a shame-slaying\, hip-swaying\, singing-songwriting drag queen from western North Carolina. Both a powerhouse vocalist and an intrepid songwriter\, Flamy blends the evocative art of drag with her iconic mix of country\, gospel\, folk\, and roots music.\n\nFlamy is the first drag performer to appear on Christian music charts\, with both her song “Good Day” and her Album Bible Belt Baby reaching #1 on iTunes. Additionally\, “Good Day” debuted at #20 on Billboard’s Christian digital sales chart\, and her 2024 sophomore album “CHURCH” charted at #8 on the iTunes Country Chart. Her music has over 1.2 million streams on major digital platforms.\n\nIt’s no accident that Flamy’s drag name is an homage to Amy Grant\, the undisputed queen of Christian music and 90s chart-topping pop artist. Much of Flamy’s music centers on the queer spiritual journey\, telling stories of resilience and recovery from religious trauma in a world where LGBTQ+ people are frequently ignored by\, harmed in\, or ejected from religious spaces. With a bold lip\, a big lash\, and a blistering voice\, Flamy drags audiences to a soulful\, uplifting church of her own making.\n\n\n\nPlease Note\nOur Policies – Attending a Show

SUMMARY:Dark Star Orchestra(Grateful Dead Experience) - Capital Center for the Arts/Chubb Theatre\, Concord NH
DESCRIPTION:Mon\, Nov 17 @ 7:00 PM\n(Doors open at 6:00 PM) \n\nPricing: From $58 to $80 (includes per ticket fee) \nGet Tickets \nVenue: Chubb Theatre at CCA\n44 S. Main St\, Concord\, NH 03301\n\n\n\n\nPerforming to critical acclaim for nearly 30 years and over 3300 shows\, Dark Star Orchestra continues the Grateful Dead live concert experience. The seven-piece band performs shows based on actual Grateful Dead set lists from their 30 years of touring\, or creates unique sets from the Dead’s extensive catalog. This approach allows fans both young and old to share in the experience while offering a continually evolving artistic outlet within this musical canon.\n\nDark Star Orchestra offers much more than just the sound of the Grateful Dead—they truly encapsulate the energy and experience. It’s about that sense of familiarity and contagious energy that creates the complete concert experience fans expect.\n\nThe band has featured guest performances from six original Grateful Dead members: Phil Lesh\, Bob Weir\, Bill Kreutzmann\, Mickey Hart\, Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay\, Vince Welnick\, and Tom Constanten\, plus longtime Dead soundman Dan Healy. Other notable guests have included Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman of Phish\, Warren Haynes\, Steve Kimock\, and many more.\n\n“For us it’s a chance to recreate some of the magic that was created for us over the years\,” explains keyboardist and vocalist Rob Barraco. “We offer a sort of historical perspective at what it might have been like to go to a show in 1985\, 1978 or whenever. Even for Deadheads who can say they’ve been to a hundred shows in the 90s\, we offer something they never got to see live.”\n\n\n\nPlease Note\nOur Policies – Attending a Show

SUMMARY:Wood Art of Duane Martin - League of NH Craftsmen - Meredith Fine Craft Gallery\, Meredith NH
DESCRIPTION:The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen\, Meredith Fine Craft\nGallery is proud to highlight the intricate wood artistry of juried-in artist Duane Martin\, a master\nof Intarsia\, which is a 3D woodworking technique that combines different types\, colors\, and\ngrains of thick woods\, without stain\, to create richly detailed\, dimensional images. Each piece is\nmeticulously hand-cut\, shaped\, and assembled like a wooden mosaic\, bringing the natural beauty\nand textures of the wood to life.\nDuane’s wood art celebrates both craftsmanship and connection to the natural world\, blending\nfine woodworking with artistic expression. One of Duane’s most striking works is a tribute to\none of New Hampshire’s most beloved symbols\, the Old Man of the Mountain. This piece\ncaptures the enduring spirit of the Granite State’s famous rock profile\, carefully rendered through\nlayers of natural wood tones that echo the rugged landscape of Franconia Notch.\nEqually captivating is Duane’s woodpecker\, a creative depiction of the forest’s rhythm and\nenergy. The piece highlights Duane’s keen eye for detail in the woodpecker’s striking coloring\nagainst the tree’s texture\, and the interplay of light and shadow all skillfully crafted from wood\nalone\, without the use of paint or stains.\nThe Meredith Fine Craft Gallery invites you to come see these skillfully crafted pieces where the\ntimeless beauty of New Hampshire’s landscape and wildlife is preserved in wood.
