Highland Lake – The perfect spot for trout fishing!
Highland Lake is 209 acres with an average depth of 16 feet and a maximum depth of 44 feet. It calls Andover home – a quaint New England town awash in charm. The lake is a fishing destination, especially for those looking to hook brook and rainbow trout. Its waters are also home to black crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and white perch.
There are golf courses and plenty of hiking trails close by, including the start of the Northern Rail Trail. Ragged Mountain and Sunapee are about a 30-minute drive away. Andover is home to Proctor Academy – one of five prep schools in the lakes region. Groceries, shopping, and hospitals are located close by in Franklin and New London. No jet skis allowed.
