Belknap Mill - Laconia

The nation’s oldest, unaltered brick textile mill offers museum tours for small and large groups year-round. Adjacent to Riverside Rotary Park, situated along the Winnipesaukee River, visitors are welcome to enjoy the current exhibit in the Riverside Gallery, take advantage of a private tour of the museum, or take advantage of a sunny afternoon in the park.

School groups are welcome to participate in the nationally award-winning program, “A Day in the Life of a Mill Worker,” offered annually in May. With space to fit up to 200 guests and two unique spaces to choose from, the Belknap Mill’s timeless brick structure provides an outstanding back drop for any event.

The museum is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-4pm all year except for some holidays.

The Wolfeboro Department of Parks and Recreation oversees 5 parks, 3 beaches, 1 skate park, 1 multi-use rail trail, Pop Whalen Ice Arena and Abenaki Ski Area.  The Department also provides structured recreational programming for participants ages 3-100+ and annually enrolls over 3000 individuals in recreational programming ranging from summer day camp, sailing and swim lessons to the Granite Man Triathlon, ski and snowboard camp and skating lessons.
