Live Entertainment in Lakes Region

The Lakes Region music and live entertainment scene have something for everyone.  From local artists, legendary music performers, and theater productions, to the unique entertainment… like acting bears! 

Local and live artists fill the room with their music at Giuseppe’s Pizzeria and Ristorante located in the historic Mill Falls Marketplace in Meredith. Every night, Giuseppe’s Pizzeria hosts live local bands and have become a popular must-visit landmark since 1989. Governor’s Inn located in Rochester, NH has live entertainment all year long including musical acts, headline comedians, dueling pianos and even musical murder mystery dinners. The live music rooster has an impressive lineup made up of local and regional touring bands. Enjoy an evening cruise aboard the M/S Mount Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee. During May through October, dinner dance cruises include a delicious buffet dinner and dancing to live music offered on Monday, Friday and Saturday evenings. On Wednesdays bring the whole family for a fun evening of dining and dancing on the big lake as special entertainers for the kids will be performing on the Main Deck. It will be an event they won’t forget. Every Monday and Thursday evening during the summer, you can enjoy dinner with a variety of music including jazz, country and folk music at the Castle in the Clouds. This evening events are by reservation only and are held from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Pitman’s Freight Room is a unique function hall for all occasions, located in Laconia. Pitman’s Freight room is a former freight depot in view of many historical landmarks has been completely renovated with modern amenities and a large dance floor. Each week they hose live music with outstanding musicians from all over the country. The New Hampshire Music Festival is a five-week summer music festival that honors the tradition of classical music while exploring new artistic paths. The NH Music Festival has been bringing classical music to New Hampshire for over 60 years.

The Lakes Region has theatre productions that will make you feel like you are watching the show right on NYC’s Broadway. Interlakes Summer Theatre was founded in 2008 and is located in Meredith, NH. They provide quality entertainment for all ages with a season that includes a balance of traditional and contemporary musicals. Their performers have appeared in several Broadway shows and almost every national tour. When you come see a show, you are sure to spot a “future star” on their stage! Also in Meredith, Winnipesaukee Playhouse is a nonprofit organization that develops and stages professional and community-based theatrical productions. The theater has become a cultural gem in the area that provides opportunities in theatre and the performing arts for the community. The Winnipesaukee Playhouse also offers free educational programs in conjunction with each of the main stage productions. Check out the Flying Monkey Movie House and Performace Center in Plymouth at their renovated vaudeville-era Main Street theater for performances by Grammy award-winning musicians, local theatrical events and more.

Looking for a great summer concert series? Great Waters Music Festival is an annual summer concert series in Wolfeboro of outstanding performers of jazz, folk, classical, and others dedicated to presenting great musical performances for people living in and visiting the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Concerts are held at a pavilion on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Pemi Valley Bluegrass Festival will be hosting the 25th Annual Music in the Mountains on August 2 – 5, 2017 at the Sugar Shack Campground in Thornton. There’s lots of great music that will be featured in this year’s festival including Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, The Gibson Brothers, The Lonely Heartstring Band and much more. Soulfest Music Festival is celebrating their 20th year of music, love and action on August 3 – 5, 2017. This is New England’s premier three-day Christian music festival and family retreat. This event is hosted at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, featuring 125+ world-renowned artists and speakers on 5 stages. Capitol Center of the Arts is located in Concord, and provides visitors with entertainment from Broadway, to comedy, music, theater and much more. The Capitol Center of the Arts is a historic vaudeville-era theater that offers a unique venue for the performing arts. Big Performances, Little Church Theater! Located on the shores of Squam Lake, the Little Church Theater is a Center for creativity offerings original and classic plays, theater and art workshops.

The Lakes Region also has some very unique ways to enjoy time with your family with entertainment from live bears or even an amazing circus. Clarks Trading Post and the White Mountain Central RR is a family theme park in Lincoln, NH, with unique attractions like The Bear Show, The Anaconda Escape, Wolfman Lore, and much more. Founded by Florence and Ed Clark in 1928 to attract travelers to the White Mountains, this attraction is still entertaining families on this day. Looking for a way to experience the Lakes Region through listening to someone’s stories and adventures? At Corner House Inn, on Thursday evenings from October through May, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, you will be able to listen to many talented and remarkable storytellers. This great night of well-spun narratives is accompanied by a complete dinner, complimentary drink, a dessert, and coffee.

Lakes Region comes alive at night at the local bars with live entertainment and music. Patrick’s Pub and Eatery offers great food along with fun and entertainment. Patrick’s Pub has something fun each night of the week, including dueling pianos, acoustic night, open mic, and much more! Paradise Beach Club is a nightclub and restaurant in Weirs Beach that specializes in top quality rock and roll dance bands and DJs playing the top 40 dance music. Boardwalk Bar and Grill located in Laconia, is a family friendly American grill that has an Outside Cabana Bar with a Large selection of beer & summer cocktails, live music and karaoke.
