Mill City Park is gearing up for the 6th Annual Winni River Days to be held June 13th and 14th, 2025 at Trestle View Park, Mill City Park and Central Street in downtown Franklin, NH. Franklin’s downtown begins at the takeout for a popular class III whitewater section, providing a unique opportunity to connect the community with the river that put Franklin on the map. We are planning activities for paddlers and non-paddlers alike: free live music, food vendors, beer tent, kayaking competitions, vendor village, silent auction, kids activities, and more.

ROAD CLOSURES: Saturday 10AM – 6PM The Bridge and road section between E Bow and Prospect St; Central St from Franklin High School to E Bow is closed 10AM – 11PM for the Community Day Parade.

8:30AM: NESS Slalom series* on the Winnipesaukee River – Start in TILTON
Our 6th annual Winni River Days festival is back! We have many types of races on the river and on land this year. Take a look at what events are happening and for special packages to include all races AND camping at Mill City Park!
Please note: there are many types of ticket tiers available. The All Inclusive Package gets your access to everything AND camping. Please add the ACA insurance fee if you are not an ACA member. This All Inclusive Package saves you $$$$!
All other regular race tickets are ala cart so you can pick and choose which events and races you want to participate in. Early tickets are discounted and must be purchased before Friday 06/13 5pm.
The best deal is to get the early-bird All Inclusive ticket!!!
Race Schedule:
FRIDAY 6:00PM Down River Race: Lower Winnipesaukee River
The downriver race runs from Cross Mill Rd to the wave at Trestle view park. Classes are based on participation, but typically include overall, women’s, short boat (9’ and under), and rafts!
SATURDAY 11:00AM- 2:00PM Boatercross Race: Lower Winnipesaukee River, Finish Line at Trestle View Park Wave
Heats of 4 kayakers race head to head through Zippy’s, around gates and each other. Mayhem ensues and the top paddlers from each heat advance to the next round. Length limit for boats is 9’.
SATURDAY 12:00PM 5K Trail Race: Winnipesaukee River Trail
A casual foot race on the Winni River Trail. Enjoy the beautiful sites and sounds of the river as you get some exercise and make new friends!
SATURDAY 2:30-4:30PM Kayak Rodeo: The Wave at Trestle View Park
Kayakers surf the wave and see who can impress the judges with the best and biggest tricks in 60 seconds. Expert, novice, and women’s classes, other classes can be added as needed based on participants (ie juniors).
SUNDAY 8:30AM NESS Slalom: Upper Winnipesaukee River in Tilton
Feel like an Olympian as you race through gates! There are many classes available. Check out the details at the New England Slalom Series website. This race is included in our Early-Bird ALL INCLUSIVE Ticket or you can register with them for more classes.
