Join us at the Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Saturday, November 7th,
2026 from 9 am – 4 pm for a Feather Wool Trees class with fiber artist Jean Reed.
Create a whimsical felted wool tree that can be enjoyed year-round! In this class, you’ll learn
how to shape 100% felted wool around wire stems to create a unique, sculptural tree, then
embellish it with winter berries and other decorative details. Choose from a variety of wool
colors to make a tree that suits your style. Your finished tree will stand approximately 18” tall
and comes with a tree stand. Additional embellishments, including lights and ornaments, will be
available to further personalize your creation.
These charming trees aren’t just for the Christmas season. Choose soft pastels for an Easter tree,
bright colors for a baby shower, or your favorite shades for a one-of-a-kind piece you can enjoy
throughout the year.
Tuition is $130 per student. Students should bring sharp fabric scissors (small ones, such as
embroidery scissors are great), a tape measure and a pencil. “Don’t forget a brown bag
lunch and a good sense of humor.”
Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
