September 16 @ 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Friday, August 21, 2026 – Tuesday, September 29, 2026

Grey Rocks Conservation Area
178 North Shore Road, Hebron, NH

Follow the trail, enjoy a story, and discover the fascinating life of a bumble bee!

A StoryWalk is a self-guided outdoor reading experience where pages of a book are displayed along a trail, inviting you to read the story as you walk. This StoryWalk features Begin with a Bee by Jennie Webber, a beautifully illustrated children’s book following the life of a bumble bee queen throughout the year.

As you make your way from page to page along the Floodplain Loop Trail, enjoy the story while taking in the natural beauty around you. It’s a fun and engaging activity for young readers and their families, combining literacy, nature, and discovery.

The Grey Rocks StoryWalk can be enjoyed any day from dawn to dusk. Parking and use of Grey Rocks Conservation Area are free and open to all.

Want to make it a scavenger hunt, too? Pick up our coordinated scavenger hunt inside the Conservation Center, or download and print your own before you visit: StoryWalk Scavenger Hunt. Turn in your completed scavenger hunt at the Grey Rocks Conservation Center and receive a sticker!
