The Friday following Labor Day brings the Meet of the Lee’s Mills Steamboat Association to Moultonborough, where as many as fifty steamboats are expected for ten days of activities. This festive event, the world’s largest annual steamboat meet, has become a major attraction for Moultonborough and Lake Winnipesaukee. Steamboats will arrive to Moultonborough, all assembling at the Lee’s Mills docks by the weekend, with most staying until Sunday, September 17th.
While the schedule of events is subject to change, visitors to the Annual Steamboat Meet can expect two steamboat parades on Lake Winnipesaukee. On Sunday, September 10th, steamboats will leave Lee’s Mills at 2pm for Moultonborough Bay. On Saturday, September 16th, steamboats will parade to Green’s Basin at 10am. A trip to 19 Mile Bay in Tuftonboro is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th at 9:30am.
