Paul Hodes and The Blue Buddha Band return to the BNH stage. Their original sound fuses folk, rock, roots, and blues with superb song-writing into a powerful blend, hitting all the essentials…Love, Sex, Life, Death, War, Peace and Hot Cars. Some folks hear echoes of Neil Young/Springsteen/Dylan in their sound with lyrics that have something to say and a “go-for-broke” vibe. As one reviewer summed it up… “textured instrumentation, stunning musicianship and an addictive vibe.” Honk Magazine said “Paul Hodes and The Blue Buddha Band take you on an unforgettable musical journey.” Radio Caviar says: “incendiary guitars and catchy choruses, a statement of rock and roll well done!” Indie O’clock said: “Hot music, full of life, beautiful and full of energy, we love it…”
Lead by guitar slinging former NH Congressman Paul Hodes, The Blue Buddha Band features Bassist Jon Gabay, Dean Rubine on Keyboards, first call New England drummer, Ed Raczka, and Paul’s muse, vocalist Peggo Horstmann Hodes.
The Band’s first album “Turn This Ship Around” garnered great reviews and streams in 60 countries. Red Rock Magazine said: “Instant classic and beautiful story telling…smooth sound..Soulful and dynamic vocal performance. Great songwriting!” The Band is releasing its second album, The Heartland” on limited Edition CD, before its global digital release by Valley Entertainment in 2026.
