Join us in The Loft at Hermit Woods for a special PIANO NIGHT of exceptional jazz featuring two of New England’s finest musicians.

Acclaimed pianist Mark Shilansky, an inventive improviser and professor at Berklee College of Music and the University of New Hampshire, is known for his lyrical playing, rich harmonies, and engaging performances. With six recordings as a bandleader, appearances on more than sixty albums, and collaborations with artists including the New York Voices, Luciana Souza, Donny McCaslin, and Sara Caswell, Mark brings both virtuosity and a playful spirit to every performance.

Joining him is Bob Martin, a Boston-based jazz vocalist and bassist whose warm voice and deep swing bring the Great American Songbook vividly to life. A Berklee-trained musician, Bob has toured internationally, recorded with NIPPON/Columbia, and is a regular performer and arranger for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as a member of The Ragtime Gals, collaborating with artists including Sting, Weezer, Steve Carell, and the Backstreet Boys.

Together, Mark and Bob have developed a wonderful musical chemistry, performing regularly throughout New England. Their repertoire blends beloved jazz standards with hidden gems from the Great American Songbook, offering fresh arrangements, inspired improvisation, and the easy rapport that comes from years of making music together.
