Pumpkin Palooza – Squam Lakes Association, Holderness NH
On Saturday, October 11, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) will be hosting a pumpkin palooza on their campus at the lakefront! Participants are invited to bring their favorite pumpkin to be carved. Carving kits and stencils will be provided. In addition to a community carving of jack-o’-lanterns, the SLA will provide seed roasting seasoning kits so that everyone can enjoy delicious pumpkin seeds at home (and samples will be available at the event). Join the festive fun while taking in the beautiful autumnal view of Piper’s Cove.

The SLA also offers other Adventure Ecology programs throughout the year. These free programs are open to the public and cover a variety of nature and conservation related topics. The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the LRCC AmeriCorps members at the SLA who perform important conservation work in support of the Association’s mission.

In collaboration with local and state partners the SLA promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam Lakes Region.
