To help Lakes Region home gardeners have more success with their gardens, this is the first of several free gardening workshops at our farm.  

In “Seed Starting and  Soil Knowledge: Keys to Good Gardening,” John Moulton, owner of Moulton Farm, shares how to have success growing plants from seeds, whether you’re starting them indoors or in your garden. This workshop is for both new and experienced gardeners. 

During the workshop, John will share tips on choosing seeds, soils and growing mediums, watering, feeding, light, and other factors important to starting healthy plants for your garden or container garden. He will also discuss how to care for your soil and practices that support healthy growth and discourage plant diseases and pests. The session will also include time to ask questions.
