A new open season at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum means a new temporary exhibit in our Contemporary Gallery. We’re proud to present Sights & Sounds of Powwow, an exhibit on the regalia, music, and instruments seen and heard at these festive events. This multi-sensory experience was created by members of our Native community alongside dedicated museum staff to deepen public understanding of the traditions and living cultures celebrated at powwows, exploring the cultural significance and beauty of powwow regalia and the dances they accompany. Now that powwow season is ramping up, it’s a perfect time to come listen and learn!
Open for the season May 1- October 31, 2025 Open Daily, Sunday 12-4pm and Monday thru Saturday 10am-4pm
