Presentation Description: The City of Concord provides the essential lifeblood of our community; clean, reliable drinking water. Join Marco Philippon, Deputy Director of General Services, for an inside look at how the City maintains this critical service 24/7/365. He will explore the hydrologic cycle that naturally replenishes our rivers, streams, and wells, and explain how Concord’s diverse water sources ensure a steady, resilient supply that keeps the city moving forward.
About our Special Guest Presenter: Marco Philippon is the deputy Director of General Services for the City of Concord, and a lifelong resident of NH. He’s been in the water industry for 30+ years working in Southern NH and Massachusetts. He holds advanced Water Treatment and Distribution Licenses in NH and Massachusetts, has a BS in Business Studies from SNHU. He is responsible for water supply master planning, forecasting, and future supply needs for the City of Concord. He is a Past President of the New Hampshire Water Works Association, and active on several committees including Legislative, Programs, and Education. Marco is also a member at New England Water Works Association on facilities and storage committees. He is a commission member on the NH Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund as well as the Secretary of the Contoocook and North Branch River Local Advisory Committee.
