YOU RAISE ME UP features the glorious music made popular by the legendary Josh Groban and some of his best-known contemporaries, including Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and Sarah Brightman.

Great Waters is thrilled to announce the return of the Empire Trio, a uniquely talented classical
crossover ensemble, to the stage this summer at Brewster Academy on July 17 at 7:30. Their
brand new production, “You Raise Me Up,” promises to be a musical experience like no other.
This year’s performance, part of the Concerts in Town series, will be held in the picturesque
Grayson Student Center and is proudly sponsored by the James Curvey Family Foundation and
Mary and Jim Michener.
The Empire Trio, formed in 2012, is known for its engaging performances and unique
repertoire. They will perform a variety of songs made popular by some of their best-known
contemporaries, such as Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, and Celine Dion. What's more, following
their performance, the group will host a question-and-answer session, providing a unique
opportunity for the audience to interact with the artists.
Erin graduated from the prestigious Indiana University School of Music and has performed
leading roles for many music festivals, opera companies, and orchestras. Some of those roles
include Eliza in My Fair Lady, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, and Musetta in Puccini’s La
Boheme. She has performed numerous times with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
David Shenton is an English pianist, violinist, composer, and arranger. As a pianist and music
director, he has worked with many renowned musicians, such as Tony Bennet, Liz Callaway, and
Renee Fleming. He began writing music at the age of 9 and has written hundreds of pieces,
including a symphony, two piano concertos, two violin concertos, and two string quartets, all
before the age of 11.
Tenor Adam Cannedy champions contemporary opera and has collaborated with and
performed for several composers. In recent seasons, he has made several appearances with
Opera Omaha, the Atlantic Opera, and the Lyric Opera of Virginia. He debuted at the Lincoln
Center with the New York City Opera. He was a 2011 prize winner in the Birmingham Opera
Competition and a Dallas Opera Guild Competition finalist. He won the People’s Choice Award
at the American Traditions Competition in Savannah.
