When a fortune teller tells a boy that an elephant will lead him to his long lost sister, the boy despairs because there has never been an elephant in the town of Baltese. However, when an elephant magically crashes through the opera house roof, summoned by a visiting magician, it sets off a chain of events so impossible that it changes the town forever!
