Universe Unplugged: Escaping Velocity

 Ever wonder how rockets blast off into space? In this fun and educational program we’ll explore escape velocity—the speed a rocket needs to break free from Earth’s gravity. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, we will discover the science behind space travel and what it takes to launch beyond our atmosphere.

Designed especially for ages 9–14, but open to curious minds of all ages, this program offers engaging activities, fascinating cosmic facts, and a fresh look at how humans have explored the universe for over 400 years.
