Artist’s Statement

The natural beauty of the New England landscape has been such an inspiration to me in both Plein-air and studio painting. The ever-changing colors of the season continue to challenge me, and it is so rewarding to feel a painting come to life. Moving from Minnesota 25 years ago and finding that special place in the Lakes Region has me feeling fortunate to share my work and connect with other artists in the community.

I studied art in college, however it was not until I was raising 3 young boys in a Minnesota winter that I found my way back to painting. The Danforth Museum School and Boston Guild Artist, William Bartlett have given me the great foundations of painting that make this such a great creative life journey for me.
