The wait is over for Halloween fans as The Laura Foundation is planning the return of the beloved Halloween Town event on Saturday, October 21, 2023. After taking a break since 2019 due to the pandemic, families will once again be able to enjoy old-fashioned “trick-or-treating” in East Madison, NH.

Embracing the spirit of the season, Halloween Town is set to mesmerize attendees of all ages with their free kid-friendly, safe and entertaining event. Halloween Town will transform the cabins of Tohkomeupog, a summer camp for boys, into an enchanting realm where the magic of Halloween comes to life.

Halloween Town coordinator Stevo Harding stated, “Halloween Town has been designed with the desire to offer kids an opportunity to enjoy what some of us remember from childhood …traditional Halloween fun. By that I mean the ability to walk around a ‘neighborhood’ and visit houses in trick-or-treat style.”

Tohkomeupog has a number of rustic cabins theatrically transformed in preparation for this truly unique event. Halloween Town features a Kid Carnival, Food Court, Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides weather permitting, Entertainment, Amusement Rides … and the signature attraction, the Trick-or-Treat Trail.

The Trick-or-Treat Trail is comprised of an atmospherically lit pathway guiding “trick-or-treaters” throughout the camp to visit a series of 25 Halloween-themed cabins and haunted areas. Halloween surprises, (candy, treats, knick-knacks), will be offered at each cabin. The trail is over ½ mile in length and is set up so that the cabins become progressively scarier. There’s always the option to skip a cabin if it appears to be too scary for any little visitors.

Activities take place on this schedule:

3:00PM–8:00PM: Food Court, Kid Carnival, Amusement Ride

3:00PM–7:00PM: ‘Halloweenie Walk’ – for non-scary trick-or-treat fun

4:00PM–8:00PM Trick-or-Treat Trail

Families wishing to make a full weekend of it are welcome to take advantage of overnight stay accommodations at Purity Spring Resort. In addition to special rates for the event, staying at the resort will give families walking distance access to all the Halloween Town activities. For more information on lodging, visit purityspringresort.com.

Halloween Town is being presented in support of The Laura Foundation for Autism and Epilepsy. The Laura Foundation is a non-profit organization with an important and inspired mission: to enhance the lives of individuals living with autism and epilepsy.

The event is open to the public, with free admission for all. However, donations to support The Laura Foundation are encouraged and appreciated. Proceeds from the Food Court, Hot Air Baloon Rides, Amusement Rides and souvenir item sales will also be donated to the Foundation.
