What to Expect on the Trails

  • Ungroomed Trails: The village provides 4  miles of nature trails. However, trails are not mechanically groomed for cross-country skiing. It is entirely a “make your own tracks” or backcountry Nordic skiing experience. If you love uncrowded, pristine snow, this is a gem.

  • Free and Open to the Public: The grounds and trails are open year-round from dawn to dusk at no charge. You can easily park and head right out into the fields.

  • Trail Layout: Popular winter loops include the short, family-friendly Turning Mill Pond Loop (about 1.7 miles) and the Carding Mill Trail. Both options take you past scenic historic stone dams, frozen ponds, and snow-laden woods.

  • No On-Site Rentals: There are no ski or snowshoe rentals available at the property. You must bring your own gear.
